The Dream Rail Way Station By Wasima Shabnam and Nahian Hasan Nosheen

Traveling is the most exciting part of human life. We travel to ease our minds and become free for a couple of days from school or work. However, sometimes we prefer convenient ways to travel from one destination to another. In Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazaar is the most popular tourist spot in the whole country. Now it’s exciting that the new railway station of Cox’s Bazaar will open on December 1st, 2023 after years of hard work since 2018!

Traveling At Ease

As we all know to travel to Cox’s Bazaar, the common way is to take the green line bus or go to Chittagong from train and from their catch a bus to go to Cox’s Bazaar. It is hectic and Time consuming for people who don’t want to pay extra money. Now Dhaka to Cox’s Bazaar route and Chittagong to Cox’s Bazaar route will be open to the public in December 1st and the cost of Traveling will become significantly reduce !

Tourism Effect 

The tourists and foreigners visit will become significantly higher than ever and the new rail way station becoming new tourist sight! The locals would also be able to have their business booming and the poverty situation in some areas of Cox’s Bazaar may also become less with tourism.

Eco-Friendly Railway Station 

The architectural design of this railway is even more significant as it’s dedicated an effort to maintain an environment-friendly approach. As per The Architect of the structure Foyez Ullah, the building has been outfitted with glass panels throughout, eliminating the need for artificial lighting during daytime! Furthermore, the expansive canopy evolves the entire structure, maintaining a consistently moderate temperature and reducing need for excessive cooling which consequently will natobly lower the air conditioning requirements, resulting in substantial energy savings for the station.

After a lot of struggles, obstacles, and the years of hard work of 3000 workers, the rail station will be opened to the public at 1st December 2023 making a significant milestone in the country’s Development history .Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina already inaugurated the Dhaka Cox’s Bazar and Dohazari, Chittagong  Coc’s Bazaar Railway Station on November 11, 2023.
